For this month’s Providers To Watch, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Ashley Slater, a remarkable injector and educator at The Lifestyle Center in Ladue, MO. Ashley has grown in her career to the point she has mastered a bit of an unusual procedure—Sculptra on the body. Her mastery has earned her a nomination for Providers To Watch alongside her efforts to share her knowledge with other providers across the industry.
Ashley’s introduction to the world of aesthetics was serendipitous yet profound. She embarked on this journey in 2012, driven by a deep-seated love for beauty and a desire to make a meaningful impact in people’s lives. Twelve years ago, she found herself working in a hospital unfulfilled by her work. “I never fully felt like I fit in… I was always the one with like a full face of makeup and my hair done and like running into my ER shift,” she reminisces.
In a bit of luck, she saw an ad for a class on injectables which she enthusiastically registered for and attended. Shortly after her weekend class, her journey took her from Miami to St. Louis, where she became determined to find a spot for herself in the industry. Undeterred by initial setbacks, Ashley’s persistence and unwavering determination led her to The Lifestyle Center.
Ashley recounts, “I was talking to my aunt and she, and I was like, ‘well, I’m due for my Botox and I go to this great girl. You should go see my girl.’ So I did.” This chance encounter ultimately shaped her career trajectory.
At The Lifestyle Center, Ashley’s journey took a transformative turn when she was offered an opportunity to undergo a summer fellowship. At the end of her assignment, she got the feedback she’d been hoping for. “They were like ‘we love you, the clients love you. We want you to stay.’”
The job allowed Ashley to get acquainted in the industry, learn the ropes of retail aesthetics, and fine tune her technique. Under the mentorship of Gina Fleming, a fellow nurse, she was given the opportunity to observe, practice, and master the procedures she loved so much.
Today, she is a standout in the industry for a less than typical treatment: Sculptra on the body. “I always joke that I could be like a brand ambassador for Sculptra because I just love it so much.” Being a mother herself, Ashley notes that the body changes, things get more lax, and crepey skin forms. Using Sculptra to stimulate collagen in these problem areas allows a client to take control of their confidence again. “I can help them feel more confident so they can wear those shorts or they can wear those tank tops, then that gives me the ultimate satisfaction.” Ashley’s commitment to empowerment of her clients shines through her work. It’s all about the confidence she sees in them at follow ups.
Her area of passion is a pain in the butt—literally—being the Sculptra Booty Lift. “Our bodies change all of a sudden. We can get that flat bottom that we never had in your life. Where did it go? And what’s happening? So again, just to give people their confidence back, um, is ultimate for me.” She shares the insights of her treatments in the video below.

When you’re asked, ‘What’s your five-year, ten-year goal?’ That is always on there,” she shares candidly. “I want to become a corporate trainer and work with all the clinics.” Despite her ambitious vision, she remains grounded in the present, eagerly seizing opportunities to share her expertise and support fellow practitioners in their professional growth.
Reflecting on recent experiences, she recounts a poignant encounter with a new colleague seeking guidance in the realm of injectables. “There was a new girl coming, and she just needed a little more help,” she recalls. “She had done it for neuro for migraines, so she needed cosmetic Botox.” Without hesitation, she stepped in to offer assistance, embodying the spirit of mentorship and collaboration. Through multiple conversations and hands-on training Ashley was able to provide the support needed to give the injector confidence in her craft. Though she isn’t training formally or full-time, her work has led her to be recognized for the willingness to share her expertise in a way few can. Her journey serves as a poignant reminder of the transformative power of mentorship, collaboration, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence in the ever-evolving landscape of aesthetic medicine.
Besides injectables, Ashley’s enthusiasm for combination therapies is evident. Her passion is palpable as she states, “I am primarily an injector, but I do some of the lasers,” she explains, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between the two modalities. “A laser with injectables is only going to get you a better result.” Ashley’s excitement is contagious as she shares her innovative approach to holistic rejuvenation.
Her commitment to complete rejuvenation is exemplified through her mastery of laser technologies, including HALO, and BBL. “In our clinic, our nurses do both,” she notes, emphasizing the comprehensive approach to aesthetic enhancement embraced by her practice.
One of Ashley’s key insights lies in the transformative power of combining BBL with Sculptra. “The most common way I use BBL and Sculptra is actually on the arms,” she reveals. “I usually recommend the HALO with Sculptra on the arms again, just to keep stimulating that collagen.”
From sculpting abs with Neo to addressing stretch marks with Sculptra and Halo, Ashley’s ingenuity knows no bounds. “I had this yoga instructor,” she recalls, “after having a baby, so you just get that little bit of crepey skin right down the middle. So we put some Sculptra in there and we did some Emsculpt NEO, and it was so fabulous.”
As the conversation draws to a close, Ashley shares advice for injectors venturing into the realm of body sculpting. “You just go for it, right? That’s how we do it,” she asserts, her confidence unwavering. “So if you’re passionate about it, then you’re gonna be good at it.” Her words resonate with authenticity and conviction, serving as a beacon of inspiration for injectors worldwide.
